Entries judged on originality, humor, how well they "fit" the region/game, etc. Msg me with the name and location of your landmark. Please limit them to cities so I can check them out, it's easy to miss them if they are on the trail. If you see another players landmark that you really like, feel free to nominate it. Toss and Toll in Karakorum

You see a large bronze statue of two mules marching forward briskly. They have shining, black jetstones for eyes. There is a large plaque beneath them saying the following: "Toss and Toll; always faithful. With me they traveled over 10,000 miles from the far East to the Western shore and back again. Here their journey ends." The whole thing takes on a rather impressive air; and looks as if it is breathing. The sculptor has done an impressive job; turning two brutish mules into works of art. And they're just so darn cute.

After that long trek across the Mongolian wilds you rub your eyes as this mirage like image floats before your eyes...Vast piles of coins and luxury items, so bright and shiny in the sun they're blinding...You blink and the image disappears to be replaced by...tired hungry mules and workers being chased by robbers...which vision is real? Do you dare travel further into the vast unknown, or do you head back to the more civilized regions? Created by Nashanna *

As you trek down the King's Highway, you spot something fluttering out of the corner of your eye. Walking over to the side of the path, you see it's a scrap of parchment with words on it, weighted down by a small stone. After several minutes of deciphering the messy, scrawled handwriting, you make out the words, "Beware the Crimson Terror! Beware!"
Thoroughly spooked, you drop the parchment and hurry your caravan away.

The Lost Travler in Alexandria

You are walking down a street at night, on your way back to the inn. Suddenly there is a bright flash of light behind you. You turn arround and you see a man step out of a large metal metal box. He is strangly dressed and starts to to offer a greeting, but looks up and down at you then he looks arround and frowns. He asks you "What year is it?". The fool you think and say "105 A.D". He starts to mutter something about buying a cheep piece of junk, and gets back into his box. He presses something in his box and it dissapears in a bright flash of light. You start to walk back to the inn think "Wow the gods have a wierd sense of humor".

For those of you worrying for Crimson Terror's sanity, she has found the landmark thing. ^_^

My landmark is found on the King's Highway, between Damascus in Phoenecia, and Tyre, also in Phoenecia.

Also, I have a very slight change to my landmark. Shouldn't affect it at all; I'm just weird that way.

you see a black mass on the horizon, you think its a mirage until you realize that you are on the ocean and that there are no mirages at see, and you are suddenly hit with the stunning truth that there is a huge storm coming your way and that now there is no way to out run it, and that if you hadn't been being such a dunderhead and pointed it out to the captain than you would be out of danger, but now there is nothing you can do but hold on tight and pray
