I have two mules in the Hyrcania Post.

Both have been set to train in speed. But they haven't risen at all in any stats since I left there many upon many turns ago. With the animals I have ( before the soil lossness update ) I've had to go well out of my way in order to get to the China-east-coast of the map.
No stat changes in Speed at all. In fact they haven't risen in stats since after I took them out for a run, and left the draft horse behind. When I returned them, they just haven't risen even a little bit ( viewable.)
Note I realize that some of the numbers are behind the scenes and may be such a small increase that I won't see somethign for a while..., but this is a bit much, IMO.

| Yours did change but they are mules so don't expect much, even if you leave them there for huge ammounts of camps. Get something like a wyvern. They are great except for their beauty, but they are fast, eat little food (1 per camp), don't drink much (3 per camp), and can carry 350 pounds without any training in strength. If you want to buy one, I have one for sale in 1.25 mil. Or if you don't have tht much you could go buy a new one with tokens. |

They increase very very slowly and only when you camp, not when you travel. I posted this in another thread, but since normally you travel 3 times and camp once, the training at the start is 1/4 as much as it could be if someone camped all the time. I expect later on people will go through stretches of just camping to gather things and craft things and train things so the training is lower to deal with that. Also, the training is proportional to the base stat value and decreases the higher you get above the base value. So a mule with a 2 speed increases speed 1/5 as fast as a dragon with 10 speed. Take that into account as you decide which stats to train. |
