The distance doesn't seem to work right. One page, it will tell me I have 25 miles to go, the next day, I travel 11 miles, and it will tell me I have 18 miles to go. Those are not the exact numbers, but the gist of what it is doing...
You still have 18.32 miles before you reach your destination.
You have 484 more turns today.
You have been travelling for 3 hours today and have gone 4.78 miles total.
You are traveling at 2.5 mph. and your slowest animal moves at 3.5 mph. Change Speed
Your workers and animals will quickly lose vitality if you travel more than 9 hours a day or move faster than your animals can sustain. You still have 13.54 miles before you reach your destination.
You have 482 more turns today.
You have been travelling for 3 hours today and have gone 4.99 miles total.
You are traveling at 2.5 mph. and your slowest animal moves at 3.5 mph. Change Speed
Your workers and animals will quickly lose vitality if you travel more than 9 hours a day or move faster than your animals can sustain. You still have 8.56 miles before you reach your destination.
Some bandits attack you!
You have 480 more turns today.
You have been travelling for 6 hours today and have gone 10.4 miles total.
You are traveling at 2.5 mph. and your slowest animal moves at 3.5 mph. Change Speed
Your workers and animals will quickly lose vitality if you travel more than 9 hours a day or move faster than your animals can sustain. You still have 3.15 miles before you reach your destination.
You have 479 more turns today.
That was an example. I had 8.56 miles to go, traveled 10.4 miles, and now have 3.15 miles to go |

I will be creating the travel helpfile today, but let me briefly explain some of the numbers.
The 10.4 miles is the total distance you have gone today. I added the word today at the end of the setence.
So you went 3 hours and went 4.99 miles and had 8.56 miles to go. Then you went for 3 more hours and your total is now 10.4 miles for the day, so that means you went 10.4-4.99 = 5.41 mils which means the 8.56 was reduced by 5.41 and 8.56-5.41=3.15 which is why you ended up at that distance.
Also the density and steepness of a trail slow you down so that's why you don't go as fast as your set speed. |
