| I had heard that these were floating (lol) around now, and after losing out on a quest because of not having a boat, I'm determined now. However, I'm a bit confused, and the pertinent help file is less that completely clear. Does anyone know how, precisely, one goes about getting a ship? Thanks! |

I can try to answer that . You either have to build one or buy one. To build one, you would have to have a shipbuilder craftsperson. Then you would have to assemble all the parts and once you have the parts you have your Shipbuilder put them all together. Then you would take your "deed" for whatever sort of ship your shipbuilder crafted and go to a port city and when you chose to take a water route, and used your deed, your ship would appear in that port.
I'm sorry if this is a bit confusing, I've only done it once and it was quite a while ago. I know if I look it over and read about the items needed it will refresh my memory.
If you're intending to craft a ship, let me know if you need supplies and such, and I will try to help if you wish to have help. Isildor and I were crafting ships at the same time so we tried to share items back and forth when one had what the other needed. I remember it takes a lot of items, and involves work from several crafts people. Tailor for sails, carpenter for wood items, blacksmith for metal items, etc.
Hope this helps
