Meet my rocket-elephants

I've been working quite extensively on improving my caravan elephants lately and just broke a pretty important milestone, so I thought I'd share.

My caravan consists of four elephants: Gloriel, Uluithiad, Baranduin and Perian.

They are the strongest animals in the game, and can each carry about 1800lb each, giving my caravan a total load of 7335lb. But that's not the most incredible thing about them. As of yesterday, they are now the fastest animals in the game, able to travel at speeds of up to 17.5mph! A pegasus can only manage 10mph without training.

To elaborate on just what it means to be able to travel at these speeds, today I travelled from Khanbalik (far east, near China) to Memphis (south-west, in Egypt) in just over 100 turns, a total distance of 2032 miles!

Needless to say, I'm pretty proud of my elephants. I hope no one minds me sharing my achievements.

Awesome! You probably don't run into as many people along the trail though. Still, it must be nice thinking "I want to go over to the other end of the "world" today" and being able to go there and back in a few hundred turns.

You're right that I don't run into as many people, but it certainly is wonderful to be able to achieve a major trip in a single (real) day, rather than over several days or through hoarding turns (which takes a lot of discipline and needs to be planned in advance). I only have a standard account, so I get 200 turns per day.
