ok so here is my landmark and it is in wuwie not really the right region for it tho.
You see a garden of statues of every kind of living being and creature poosible, they look so life like that chills run down your spine. One is holding something and the glimmer of it catches your eye. You walk up to it slowly with cation and take a closer look. It's a mirror. It looks as if its just resting in the statues hand. So you slightly pull on it; it might be of some worth after all atleast a couple of coins. In the handle of the mirror inscribed is, "Use this mirror and do not look directly into her eyes and your fate will not be as mine". You take the mirror just incase whatever the ingraver ment someday makes sence and you leave quikly.
so there it is lol have fun everyone! |

ok so here is another one of my landmarks this one is in Sarae.
The Lap Dog of Sarae
Your caravan pulls up to Sarae and before you can even see the entrance to the city you see a Giant statue of a dog head. As you pull up closer and closer it fills your view more until you realize its a giant lap dog. Your caravan finely reaches the city gates and gaurding the city is the giant lap dog that was filling your view on the way in. You ride your horse closer in to read the plack at the dogs feet. It reads, "Here lies or cities most loved and loyal friend. May she always gaurd our city gate as she once did. May she rest in piece." You look to the side of the plack and there stands an ern that is bronzed and ingraved with intracit flowers. you think to yourself "this dog must of really been loved, i wonder what she did in her life to be so remembered. I dont think ive even seen a statue of a person this big, or even a person at all lol." Your caravan crew heard you lightly chuckle and they look at you in dismay, thinking you are enjoying the cities pain of their lost companion. You turn and shout out, "ok lets get moven we dont have time for sight seeing!", and you head past the city gates into Sarae.
hope you enjoy it
p.s. please excuse the spelling, im not good at it |

i want to change my landmark to this: it is in viet
you see a black mass on the horizon, you think its a mirage until you realize that you are on the ocean and that there are no mirages at sea, you wonder about this but then decide to just ignore it until after about an hour of daydreaming you realize that the black mass is closer, and you are suddenly hit with the stunning truth that there is a huge storm coming your way and that now there is no way to out run it, and that if you hadnt been being such a dunderhead and pointed it out to the captain then you would be out of danger, but now there is nothing you can do but hold on tight and pray by TTdragonpi

Hehe, that one is mine about Toss and Toll. THey were my first mules, and I felt rather bad about abandoning them. Oh goodie, I have done so many funneh ones, lemme dig 'em all up! =D
I hope you don't mind me doing alot...
| Quote: |
"Tarkan"
Here is a statue of a brown yearling mule. He is posed to stare directly at you. His eyes are of jetstones and everything else is of bronze. A small plaque on the statue's base reads: "To Tark: one faithful, if annoying, mule." Funny thing...the statue looks exactly like a mule that you ran across earlier today! Well, he sort of ran across you, and took a great deal of your food with him. He looked pudgy, too. Oh well, his owner probably released him. He seems to be doing better for the break, anyway. Allthough the thought does run across your mind to wonder why his owner would care so much about him in the first place... You pass the owner off as a freak, whoever she is. |
Again, by me, my 3rd mule. I didn't mind dissing myself because I didn't think anyone would ever know who I was, lol.

"I Am Crazy"
I am about to attempt possibly the most dangerous trail in all of...erm...anywhere. I am going to travel 1500 miles east along Southeast Passage to Viet. The conditions are: Negligible. Need I say more? Every single condition is negligible. Everything. Except for bandits, of course. No, I do not have a deathwish, I just really want to try it. I prolly won't make it more than a mile, anyway. So this could, actively, be a monument to my horrid death in the middle of the ocean. How sad for me. Update: I lied. You need a ship to travel on that route! Even worse for me, dunno how to make a ship, and I really wanted to go on the thingee. :/ |

"Toss and Toll"
You approach a large, beautifully-carved statue of two mules marching forward; along with a smaller colt hanging behind them. It is made of bronze, and is life-sized. A large jet stone is in each of the mules' eyes. Etched into a golden plaque beneath are the words; "Toss and Toll: always faithful. In two years they crossed the world; from Louyang to Rome, a distance of over 5,000 miles." Underneath, a smaller, slightly humerous plaque is also inscribed; "Tark helped too." obviously referring to the colt behind both mares. The entire thing looks rather mythical, and you could swear that the creatures are breathing. |
Yes, I was kinda obsessed with my mules. Sue me.

"Not orcni"
Not orcni in Croton is a pallindrome! *rejoices*
You know what Croton reminds me of? Croutons. Mmm...makes me hungry. Croutons on a good iceberg lettuce salad with some blue cheese dressing...
Here, over here. Look at me when I'm talking to you.
Yes you. You should pay more attention. Something important could be happening.
Something im-por-tant.
Important. IMPORTant. imPORTant. importANT.
Can you tell I'm getting bored?
-Andalib the Bored |
Hey, gimme a break, I was bored to death on that one.

"Bashed Statue"
Here is a statue that looks like it used to be quite dashing, however; its head has been knocked off and crumbled to pieces. Apparently, some traveler was angered that they were forced to drop 2 gladiators, 1 tiger, and 1 lion (some 10,000 worth of merchandise) only 40 miles away from the city. Instead of ranting at a public forum, they decided to take out their anger on this statue's head instead. Poor statue. |

Made ya look! :P -Andalib |
The trickster in all of us.

You actually have to look at that one to appreciate it's value; I stuck a bunch of HTML on it to make it spiffy.

"Raging Madman III"
That's right, after the 1st and 2nd installments of raging madman, Andalib the Incredibly Stupid has done it again. I recently accepted a quest to deliver a worker, travelled all the way here, purchased an additional building because one of my animals couldn't take the steep, almost killed my two akhal-teke horses, all to deliver said worker. But you know what I found out when I got here? The worker was supposed to be delivered in Cyrene. You know, Cyrene, all the way down in Egypt? Don't know how I managed to miss it. CAUTION: Scream Warning. You have been warned.
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE: And guess what I found out? Because I messed up so badly and had no time to complete the quest, I lost several thousand points of reputation. *smacks self in face* |
| Quote: | "A Mysterious Letter..."
You see a letter on the ground with writing on it. The writing says: "12/26/07 I just found the coolest thing! It's a website that lets you pretend you are a trader thousands of years ago!" Website? Coolest? Not understanding these phrases, you pass them off for some strange dialect and put the letter back. If only you could write a message back to them... How very awkward for you.
|
| Quote: | "Ranting madman"
Here you see a strange-looking Indian woman freaking out and screaming at the top of her voice; "STUPID TREASURE MAP!!!" Apparently this woman, named Andalib, had actually travelled across the world on the advice of a treasure map taken from a filthy vagrant, only to find that she had a limited amount of guesses to complete the quest, which no one had told her about. Now, she is stuck in the middle of an unfamiliar land, with bandits robbing her on all sides, a whole lot less money and good animals, and her treasure map gone! Disappeared. Vanished. POOF! And it was gone. Never trust a filthy vagrant. |
There's another line after this, but I didn't write it, someone else added it, so I didn't include it.
| Quote: | "Bandits"
Andalib wants bandits! There seem to be none around... Or perhaps my terrifying Amazon is scaring them away?
Which reminds me; the Western Hemisphere hasn't even been discovered yet! How did anyone even bring Amazons to the Middle East? :/
|
| Quote: | "Large pie"
Someone has left a very large, deliscious-looking apple pie for you. How very thoughtful. OK, so this isn't a landmark, but it does make you happier, doesn't it? |
This goes with the following, which is in the same town:
| Quote: | "Small pie"
The slightly smaller, but still deliscious version of it's brother the Large Pie, this pie is even less of a landmark than the first. It seems like I am going crazy and becoming obsessed with pies. How very interesting. You can leave now. *cackles insanely* |
Hehe. Pie. Hehehe.
| Quote: | "Ronpol!"
Ronpol is Lop Nor spelled backwards... Ronpol...Lop Nor. It's a PALL-IN-DROME. If you can tell I'm losing my mind of boredom. RUN, BILLY, RUN!!! ;) |
Methinks me likes the pallindromes. :P
| Quote: |
Tip of the World"
Here, at the very tip of India, you can look out on a beach over the vast, unexplored ocean. This is the tip of the world, the end, the grand finale. Because that's all of the world there is, right? Go too far into this ocean, and you'd fall right off the end of it! Splash!!! |
| Quote: |
"n00b"
You see some rather suspiscious-looking print carved into a large boulder. "andalib wuz heer." it says. What a n00b. You glare at the rock as you pass by. |
Again, I seem to love poking fun at myself.
Well, that's it, all are by me, from all over the legendera world. My personal favorites are in red. All of these are pretty old; I made them up at various times when I was bored. I'm not trying to toot my own horn or anything, I just couldn't pick which one I liked best so I included them all. You don't have to use all of them, or any of them, if you don't want to. I hope you enjoy 'em and get a good laugh!
Lol, I really had no idea I had made quite so many landmarks. That "Run, Billy, Run" one is my very favorite, the greatest of my efforts seem to be the products of my boredom. =D |
