I got a great idea for a new worker. Well it's kinda like a worker. It would be a travling merchant, or an extra carivan. It would be computer controled. You could set it to buy items in one city then take them to another city, or just set then to wonder arround an buy items in a ramdom city then choose a ramdom city to sell them in. Their carivan would move and camp when you camp. Also they would use your money to buy stuff, and then money they make from selling stuff goes to you. By having a worker like this, it would realy feel like you are then head of a trading empire.

It would be pretty difficult to do this the way the code is set up right now because the caravan is city 0, and I wouldn't know where to put the items that were in the other caravans. We had talked about this when we started but decided against it.

I guess one way to do it would be to let you send items to a city to be sold as soon as they get there, and then each turn you take they travel a bit of distance and once they arrive at the city they are sold. Kind of like how workers and animals travel to you over several turns.

I imagine we would need some kind of extra fee to prevent people from just doing this rather than going from place to place, but I could see this as a skill of some kind and as you raise the skill you can have more goods in transit.

Actually, I think this could be a really good idea. Let me think about it and I will probably do it in terms of going from city to city and requiring a certain worker in the start city to begin the shipment and the size of the shipment and speed that it gets there is based on this worker's skill.
