I can't figure out exactly what city I need to go to, I found several that could be possibilities:

The next clue to the treasure lies in a trail described thusly: This trail is near a city that has quite an appetite for Cultural Items and Scrolls. This nearby city also is famous for its Gold and trains Healers that are in demand the world over. It can have temperatures as high as Very Hot and is near the Ye Road. Also, the trail is near the Vis a Vis Karakorum. Go there and see what you can find out about this treasure!

Firstly, you need to go to a trail, not a city. When you are travelling on a trail you think it might be referring to, just open up your Current Quests page and click Perform by the Treasure Quest.

The clue about it being near both the Ye road and Vis a Vis Karakorum allows me to narrow it down to three possibilities:
The Forbidden Path between Ye and Khanbalik
Golden Ridge Road between Dunhuang and Khanbalik
Golden Horde Pass between Dunhuang and Lop Nor

The clue about the nearby city being famous for its gold and healers must refer to Dunhuang, which narrows down the list of possibilities to just the last two. Generally this means that if you can't work out the rest of the clues, just go to Dunhuang, travel on one trail and try to perform the quest, then if it doesn't work go to the other.

The Cultural Items and Scrolls clue doesn't help to further narrow down the list in this case. Neither does the temperature clue.
