My elephants are faster than my horses!

Something I've been working towards for a while now is to train/breed the 'perfect' caravan animal. My ideal animal would be able to transport a lot of goods without compromising speed. I decided one of the elephant species would be best for this task and settled on the Indian elephant, since it was the fastest of the three available, with a base speed of 3mph.

Getting the animals involved the most impossibly long trip to Arikamedu at the bottom of India. I teleported there, then escorted three extremely slow elephants to base camp in Khanbalik in Mongolia via Oc Eo since they couldn't make it over the mountains.

After much training and more Elixirs of Speed than I can count, I've finally broken the 5mph mark for all 3 of my elephants. They're currently all under the influence of a Boost of Speed (+1 to speed), so their current speeds are as high as 6.55mph, making them faster than even my Ahkal Teke horses!

I just thought I'd share this little milestone with everyone.

If anyone has any tiger's number or glass sand that they'd be willing to sell, let me know as I'd love to get my hands on as much as possible.

I think I'll continue training in speed for a little while, perhaps aim to break the 6mph mark, then I'll move to work on endurance, since there's not much point in having a fast animal if it gets exhausted too quickly. Like my draft horses. *shakes fist* Impossible creatures... um, I mean... wonderful wonderful beasts... um... Anyone want to buy a draft horse? Or four?
