So I was in Canstantinople tonight messing around in my storeroom tryen to figure out what it is i should take with me on my long trek accross the contry to deliver a message for some poor old soul who just couldnt make the trip.
At the time I just couldnt decide what I should take with me because there was just too much to choose from and on top of it many of my workers were going on about how they would like a chance to get some "on the trail" experience instead of spending their carreer lives in school.
I thought to myself, "I almost have about had it with them, dont they understand the importance of schooling and training, what good are they to me if they dont know how to do their jobs and without being outwit by bandits! I practically buy them out of slavery from the markets. They were barely clothed in rags and starving almost to death, I rescue them and althogh they are my servents I treat them as if they were my own children and send them to school, feed them, cloth them and even put some extra coin in their pockets, and yet, they seem so ungreatful for it all when they should be happy to have a master such as myself!"....sigh
I then decide to take a break and head over to the tavern to sit and have a good home cooked meal and some drink to go with it. That might calm me down, after all, being on the road as long as I have, with not even a cook with me, can ware on a person. It seems that even tho hunters can catch some great game they honestly dont know how to prepair it let alone what decent seasoning is.
So anyways, to make a long story short, Im sitting in the tavern, enjoying by myself, a nice pitcher of ale and listening to all the gossip around me. When suddenly, out of all the conversations going on around me, I hear a familure name....."Undean The Second". So I lean in a little towards the old man talking at the next barstool and i hear....

Then I somewhat rudely interupted the two bewreggled men talking (whos breath was ripe of rotting teeth and too much ale, not too mention their body oder was quite unusual as if they had roled with the pigs in 30 day old raw meat and raw eggs without showering for 2 months strait). "May I ask, do you remember when this happened?" and the younger of the two; probably in his 40's; answered in a voice that was raspy from smoking heavily....

I laughed and said, "roughly, sounds more exact to me". and as i begain to say thank you for the information he actually had the nerve to interupt me and say back...."ye watch yer mouth girl, or ye might be getten more then yer share tonight in yer sleep."
I got up and walked out and decided it might be time for me to get back to work. So I headed back to my store and as i did I thought I might as well just take my mercenary with me this time and not because of the threat i recieved, but, because of that naughty mischevious lil Undean The Second. |

I was In a Tavern at Trapezus and I overheard this.

So I asked when this had happened, and the man who was talking said about 2 days and 5 hours ago. That night I prayed to Lei Kun for extra protection if I ran into Goddess.
Also on my way out I heard someone say, "Undean The Second was caught sabotaging the sanitation and the schools in Hyrcania Post about a day ago." Another man replied to that, "I'm just glad he's not here right now." This made me smile as I walked into the night. |
