When looking at the crafting info on Hides, I saw this:
| Quote: | Crafting information for Hides [#77]
Requires a level 1 Hunter to craft this in a city. |
But when I moved my Hunter to a city, there was no interface for crafting. I know that I have gotten Hides, but I can't remember where I got them, does my Hunter craft them in the caravan? Is there another source for Hides? |

Good point. I made the helpfiles clearer on this topic.
There are two kinds of crafters: Crafters and Gatherers. Crafters sit in cities and make items out of ingredients (or possibly out of nothing as farmers do with flax). Gatherers must go with you along the trail and when you camp, your Gatherers have a chance to find items.
Now the worker info table lists what each job can do so hopefully it will explain where things go. So hunters belong on the trail finding hides. |

My hunter has been faithfully by my side for... hmm, it says that she only has 0 years of experience, but she's level 5. And I've had her from within my first 100 turns (I'm into about 2000 now). And she's only found 1 hide in all that time. She does seem to produce food now and again, but not much. I've never seen dove eggs or trained eagles (which the help files say my hunter can collect). I've even given her a quiver to help her in her duties.
To be able to do much leather crafting at all it seems that, I'm going to have to get a party of 7 Hunters and camp every day. Or are hides specific to an area? |

It was giving out too much before so I made it more rare, but I guess I made it too rare. I have upped the chances now so you should get something once in a while at least. |

| At one time when I was making my hunter more experenced I'm not sure but I think he caught a tiger. I was clicking camp rather fast and I thought I saw something about a tiger and a tiger did appeared in my items, but the help files say nothing about capturing tigers so I have no idea what even happened that made me get a free tiger, but I know I got it when camping. |
