| So I chose Eros (I see now that we can change...cool!) as my deity. One of the 'charms' is that workers of the "opposite gender" do not cost upkeep. How does the game know what "opposite" is? I never specified MY gender anywhere lol |

It's your workers. It looks at the different cities where you have workers and if you have a male and female it shouldn't cost upkeep. |
